Mariea Garnett****Support Specialist

My name is Mariea Garnett, and my life is defined by the two things I love most: nurturing nature and nurturing people. At 58, I’ve found my piece of heaven on a little farmette here in Janesville, where I spend my days alongside my goats, dogs, and cats.

I have been surrounded by children my entire life, and my heart has always been drawn to helping them grow. I have some experience working with children with special needs, a role that requires a special kind of patience and empathy. Coming from a strong farming background, I find that my love for animals and my passion for working with children go hand-in-hand. I truly believe that a big heart is the most important tool you can have, whether you're tending to a farm or supporting a child.

Hi! My name is Jenna, and I’m excited to be joining the team at Peaceful Palms. I’ve been working with kids for nearly 10 years and love creating a fun, supportive environment where children can feel comfortable, be themselves, and enjoy their time. I especially enjoy playing games, getting creative, and helping kids have a positive and memorable experience.

I specialize in working with children with autism and have experience supporting individuals across the lifespan. In addition to working with kids, I also provide respite care for adults with autism part-time, which has helped me build strong communication skills and a deeper understanding of how to support people with different needs.

I’m currently a social work student at UW–Whitewater and am working toward my bachelor’s degree, which I will complete in Spring 2026. After graduating, I plan to pursue my Master’s in Social Work so I can continue supporting individuals and families in meaningful ways.

I’ve lived in Wisconsin my whole life and love being part of this community. Outside of work and school, I’m a big animal lover and spend a lot of time pet sitting. I’m also an avid reader and have already read 20 books this year. I’m looking forward to meeting the families and kiddos at Peaceful Palms!
